On Sunday, March 14, 2021 Daylight Savings begins. Do not forget to move your clock forward 1-hour starting at 2:00am.

Safety Tip: It’s time to check your smoke & carbon monoxide alarms to make sure they are functioning! As you’re setting the new time, take a minute to check on the batteries and the alarms making sure that they are ready to go if need be.

Branch Updates

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 virus, we are making some temporary changes to ensure the safety and health of our members and employees. We are currently allowing members inside our lobbies for in-branch service. Please note the following information for all of our branches:

– Face masks or face coverings are required
(scarfs, bandannas, and standard masks are acceptable)
-Limited member occupancy (as posted on the lobby door)
– Public restrooms are temporarily unavailable
-Please make an appointment to see an MSR

If you are feeling ill or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please do not come into any office location.

New Bellows Falls Office Open

Our Bellows Falls office is open in its new location as of Monday, July 13, 2020! We are very happy to be able to welcome our members into our new office. The office comes with a River Valley Credit Union ATM located in the 1st lane of the drive-up, a night deposit, drive-up teller access via tube, and the same great service from our Bellows Falls staff! The office is now open all day, without closing from 1:00pm-2:00pm, as it did in the prior location. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the branch will be fully operational with limited member occupancy, as posted on the front door.  We are very excited to share this space with you and hope to see you there! Our new location is 105 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT 05101.

Small Business Administration (SBA) Information

For those in our community that are seeking loan programs such as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) or the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) it is recommended that you visit the SBA’s (Small Business Administration) website at:

From there you will be able to locate the information on the program you need and you will be able to find a SBA approved lender, River Valley is not currently a SBA approved lender.

Remember: The IRS will not call you!

With the IRS beginning the distribution of the economic impact payments, also known as “stimulus checks”, it’s important to remember that the IRS will not call you to ask for any personal account information. The banking information they need to process these payments via direct deposit will be based off your most recent tax filing. Do not give out your banking or account information over the phone!
